Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 17, 2015, and permission granted on April 17, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Government Transparency & Operation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Elkins, at 3:15 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Elkins; Walle; Galindo; Gonzales, Larry; and Turner, Scott.
A quorum was present.
The chair moved to reconsider all votes previously taken on HB1426. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.
The chair offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
The chair moved that HB 1426, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Elkins; Walle; Galindo; Gonzales, Larry; Turner, Scott (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Gutierrez; Leach (2).
At 3:17 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
