Pursuant to a notice posted on February 25, 2015, and permission granted on March 2, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Raymond, at 3:35 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Raymond; Keough; Naishtat; Peña; Price; and Spitzer.

A quorum was present.

The committee heard invited testimony from HHSC Inspector General Stuart W. Bowen, Jr..

The chair offered an amendment to the measure.

The amendment was adopted without objection.

Representative Rose moved that HB 550, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
