Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 15, 2015, and permission granted on May 15, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Frullo, at 11:58 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Frullo; Muñoz, Jr.; Bonnen, Greg; Guerra; Meyer; Paul; Sheets; Vo; and Workman.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1628, the companion to HB 3646.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

Representative Sheets moved that SB 1628, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
