Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 23, 2015, and permission granted on May 23, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Frullo, at 3:02 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Frullo; Muñoz, Jr.; Guerra; Meyer; and Sheets.

A quorum was present.

SB 1227

The chair laid out SB 1227, the companion to HB 2071.

Representative Sheets moved that SB 1227, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Frullo; Muñoz, Jr.; Guerra; Meyer; Sheets (5).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Bonnen, Greg; Paul; Vo; Workman (4).

At 3:03 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
