Pursuant to a notice posted on March 13, 2015, and permission granted on March 16, 2015, to meet while the House was in session during the reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Local & Consent Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Thompson, Senfronia, at 3:33 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Thompson, Senfronia; Clardy; Burkett; Capriglione; Dale; Gonzales, Larry; Guerra; Isaac; Muñoz, Jr.; Nevárez; Sheets; and Springer.

A quorum was present.

The chair introduced and congratulated Rep. Travis Clardy as the committee’s new vice chairman.

The chair recognized Rep. Clardy for remarks.

The chair welcomed back to the committee Rep. Cindy Burkett, Rep. Larry Gonzales, Rep. Kenneth Sheets and Rep. Sergio Muñoz, Jr.

The chair congratulated and welcomed to the committee Rep. Roland Gutierrez, Rep. Jason Isaac, Rep. Bobby Guerra, Rep. Poncho Nevárez, Rep. Drew Springer & Rep. Tony Dale.

The chair introduced committee staff.

The chair went over committee procedures & duties with the members and recognized the committee clerk to discuss committee procedures & duties.

The chair named a Working Group Committee to help staff with fiscal notes and potential amendments.

The chair asked if there were any questions. There being no further questions, at 3:48 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
