Pursuant to a notice posted on January 28, 2016, the House Committee on Mental Health, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Price, at 10:04 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Price; Moody; Bonnen, Greg; Coleman; Davis, Sarah; Galindo; Murr; Turner, Chris; and White, James.
A quorum was present.

The committee heard testimony on the overview of the state of mental health/behavioral health in Texas from staff of the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
