Pursuant to a notice posted on August 22, 2016, the House Committee on Natural Resources-S/C on Special Water Districts met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Larson, at 1:13 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Larson; Burns; King, Tracy O.; and Nevárez.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The Committee met to address Interim Charge 6: Evaluate the status of legislation to encourage joint groundwater planning, including HB 200 (84R), and monitor ongoing legal developments concerning ownership and access to groundwater and the impact of these developments on property rights and groundwater management.

At 5:03 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
