Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2015, a suspension of all necessary rules on May 5, 2015, and permission granted on May 5, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Crownover, at 5:10 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Crownover; Naishtat; Blanco; Coleman; Collier; Davis, Sarah; Guerra; Miller, Rick; Sheffield; Zedler; and Zerwas.

 

A quorum was present.

 

SB 97

 

The chair laid out SB 97, the companion to HB 170.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Zedler moved that SB 97, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Crownover; Naishtat; Blanco; Coleman; Collier; Davis, Sarah; Guerra; Miller, Rick; Sheffield; Zedler; Zerwas (11).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

At 5:17 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
