Pursuant to a notice posted on February 19, 2015, the House Committee on Special Purpose Districts met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, Doug, at 8:02 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Miller, Doug; Alvarado; Faircloth; Fallon; and Zedler.

A quorum was present.

Committee Rule Related to the Electronic Distribution of Committee Materials

Vice Chair Alvarado offered a committee rule related to the electronic distribution of committee materials for hearings of the Committee on Special Purpose Districts during the 84th Legislative Session.  There being no objection, the rule was adopted.

Committee on Special Purpose Districts

Committee Rule Related to the Electronic Distribution of Materials

For the purpose of complying with all Texas House Rules related to the distribution of materials to committee members prior to a measure being laid out for the first time in committee, the House Committee on Special Purpose Districts may distribute all materials electronically through the committee’s Dropbox. If a Member would like a hard copy of the materials, the individual Member’s staff may print those materials for that Member. The committee may issue a hardback binder for the purpose of holding printed committee materials.

This rule shall be applied to the distribution of all committee materials throughout the 84th Legislative Session.
