Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 22, 2015, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at 12:10 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pickett; Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Fletcher; Israel; Minjarez; Paddie; and Simmons.

A quorum was present.

SB 714

The chair laid out SB 714, the companion to HB 142.

Representative Simmons moved that SB 714, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion failed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           None (0).

Nays:                           Representatives Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Fletcher; Israel; Minjarez; Paddie; Simmons (7).

Present, Not Voting:   Representative Pickett (1).

Absent:                        Representatives Davis, Yvonne; Harless; McClendon; Murr; Phillips (5).

At 12:15 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
