Pursuant to a notice posted on August 31, 2015, the House Committee on Transportation-S/C on Long-term Infrastructure Planning met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Simmons, at 9:03 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Simmons; Burkett; Murr; and Paddie.

 

A quorum was present.

The committee heard testimony on a breakdown of each transportation funding source for 2016-17 biennium (including potential/projected sources)

 

The committee heard testimony TTI on how other states provide funding for transportation

 

The committee heard testimony on alternative transportation funding options and specific methods to finance long-term/major transportation projects (testimony from TTI & Keith Self, Collin County Judge)

The committee heard testimony on a debt service update

 

The committee heard testimony on State Highway Fund expenditures

 

The committee heard testimony on how funding levels are decided for each of TxDOT's 12 categories

 

 

At 11:55 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
