Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Intergovernmental Relations was held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Lucio made opening remarks.

Senator Lucio recognized the Members of the Committee for opening remarks and to introduce their staff.  Senator Lucio introduced the Committee Staff.

Senator Lucio laid out the proposed Intergovernmental Relations Committee rules for the 84^th Legislature. 

Senator Garcia moved adoption of the committee rules.  Senator Bettencourt seconded the motion.  There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Invited testimony was heard.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

Senator Lucio moved that the testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 3:10 PM Senator Lucio, moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
