Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, and pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18 on May 20, 2015 and Tuesday, May 21, 2015, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Education was held on Tuesday, May 21, 2015, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028, at Austin, Texas.

The chair laid out HB 2811 and recognized Senator Van Taylor, in the absence of the Senate sponsor, to explain the bill.
