Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Nelson made opening remarks.

Senator Nelson laid out the following pending bills: SB 1, SB 7, SB 8, SB 31, SB 105, SB 138, SB 140, SB 186, SB 278, SB 279, SB 330, SB 331, SB 516, SB 687, SB 744, SB 752, SB 755, SB 756, SB 757, SB 758, SB 759, SB 761, SB 762, SB 763, SB 765, SJR 1, SJR 20, SJR 21, SJR 23, SJR 29, SJR 35 and SJR 36.  

Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

Senator Nichols assumed the chair.

Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

Senator Nelson announced workgroups.

At 10:26 AM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.

At 1:36 PM Senator Nelson reconvened the meeting.

Public testimony continued.

Senator Nelson closed testimony and left the following bills pending: SB 1, SB 7, SB 8, SB 31, SB 105, SB 138, SB 140, SB 186, SB 278, SB 279, SB 330, SB 331, SB 516, SB 687, SB 744, SB 752, SB 755, SB 756, SB 757, SB 758, SB 759, SB 761, SB 762, SB 763, SB 765, SJR 1, SJR 20, SJR 21, SJR 23, SJR 29, SJR 35 and SJR 36.  

There being no further business, at 3:13 PM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
