Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:12 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

SB 2 was laid out as pending business.

 

Senator Schwertner laid out Funding for Autism Services rider.

Senator Schwertner moved adoption of the rider. Without objection, the rider was adopted.

 

The chair laid out a document on Outstanding Items for Consideration.

 

Resource witnesses are shown on the attached list.

 

Article 1, Texas Public Finance Authority and Pension Review Board outstanding items were laid out. Without objection, the items were adopted.

 

Article II, Department of State Health Services and Health and Human Services Commission outstanding items were laid out.

The chair gave final directives to the Legislative Budget Board.

 

The chair moved that Texas Department of Criminal Justice Friends for Life Grant rider be adopted into Article V. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

SB 2 was left pending.

 

There being no further business, at 12:29 PM Senator Jane Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
