The chair called the meeting to order at 12:02 PM. There being a quorum established at 12:05 PM, the following business was transacted:
The chair laid out SB 97 and recognized the author, Senator Hinojosa, to explain the bill.
Senator Kolkhorst sent up a committee substitute; the chair recognized Senator Hinojosa to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as filed. Senator Kolkhorst moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.
Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.
The chair closed public testimony on the bill. The bill was left pending.
At 12:56 PM Senator Zaffirini assumed the chair.
The chair laid out SB 133 and recognized the author, Senator Schwertner, to explain the bill.
