The chair called the meeting to order at 1:31 PM. There being a quorum established at 1:34 PM, the following business was transacted:
The chair laid out SB 114 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.
The chair closed public testimony on the bill. The bill was left pending.
At 1:48 PM Senator Kolkhorst assumed the chair.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 133.
Senator Taylor, Van, moved that SB 133 do not pass but that CSSB 133 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 3 absent. Senator Campbell, Senator Uresti, and Senator Zaffirini submitted a motion in writing form to be shown voting aye on the bill.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 197.
Senator Taylor, Van, moved that SB 197 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 3 absent. Senator Campbell, Senator Uresti, and Senator Zaffirini submitted a motion in writing form to be shown voting aye on the bill.
