Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations was held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 12:05 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The following member arrived after the roll was called: Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr.

The Chair recognized Major General John Nichols to recite Pledge of Allegiance and The Pledge of Allegiance to the Texas State Flag.

Senator Burton moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Invited testimony heard as shown on the attached list.

There being no further business, at 12:57 PM Senator Campbell moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
