Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on -S/C Border Security was held on Monday, March 9, 2015, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:02 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senators José Rodríguez and Sylvia Garcia were also present.

 

Senator Lucio, Jr. moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on March 4, 2015; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair advised that SB 185 had been tagged pursuant to Senate Rule 11.19 and would not be heard.

 

There being no further business, at 8:08 AM Senator Birdwell moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
