The Committee will convene to receive an update from the Inspector General of the Health and Human Services Commission on his efforts to reform the Office of the Inspector General, and on the IG Integrity Initiative. (Invited testimony only)
The Committee will also discuss the following interim charge:
· Study the impact to the state of the increasing number of refugees relocating to Texas, including the range of health and human services provided. Examine the authority of the state to reduce its burden under the Refugee Resettlement Program, and any state-funded services. (Public testimony limited to 3 minutes)
