NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The committee will meet to consider the following topics:

1. Examine strategies for preventing and controlling outbreaks of Influenza and bacterial Pneumonia disease in Texas' Long Term Care Facilities.  Evaluate whether existing public health and prevention policies, reporting requirements meet or exceed quality standards, as well as identify any tools and actions the state can foster in antimicrobial stewardship.

2. Evaluate the current state of elderly financial abuse and exploitation as well as consider options for long term financial health and savings of aging populations. 

Invited testimony will be followed by public testimony.  Public testimony will be limited to 3 minutes.
