Amend SB 6 (senate committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  The changes in law made by this Act do not apply to an area that is the subject of an annexation agreement entered into before the effective date of this Act by a municipality with a population of more than 1.3 million and less than two million according to the 2010 federal decennial census. An annexation occurring under the terms of and at the expiration of a period designated in an agreement described by this section is governed by the law in effect at the time the agreement was approved by the municipality, and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose.
