  H.C.R. No. 34
 
 
 
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
  memories of Frank Ronald Galitski of Amarillo, who passed away on
  July 19, 2017, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, Frank Galitski was born in Mount Carmel,
  Pennsylvania, on December 3, 1935, to Frank and Jean Galitski, and
  he grew up with a brother, Jim, and a sister, Patricia; after
  graduating from high school, he answered his nation's call to duty
  and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
         WHEREAS, In 1958, Mr. Galitski married the former Annette
  Blazina, with whom he shared 55 years before her death; the couple
  were blessed with three children, Frank, Linda, and John; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of a long and successful career in
  the aviation industry, Mr. Galitski specialized in rotary wing
  aircraft, starting at Sikorsky Aircraft and retiring from Bell
  Helicopter; his job allowed him to travel, and he and his wife
  visited such well-known sites as Stonehenge, the Acropolis, the
  Colosseum, the Panama Canal, and the Amazon River, as well as many
  other places in Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific; they also lived
  for a time in Tehran, Iran, and in Chinhae, South Korea; and
         WHEREAS, An avid reader, Mr. Galitski also enjoyed cheering
  on the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers; he especially
  delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, Daniel,
  Elizabeth, Gina, Steven, Anna, Jarrott, Chelsea, and Dakkota, and
  his great-grandchild, Tayton; he was also a devout Catholic and an
  active member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish and the Serra Club;
  and
         WHEREAS, Frank Galitski lived a life that was rich in
  personal and professional achievements, and he leaves behind a
  record of service that his loved ones can remember with pride; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas,
  1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Frank Ronald
  Galitski and extend heartfelt sympathy to his relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
  Frank Galitski.
