R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the Harlingen community gathered on May
  10, 2017, to celebrate the opening of two all-inclusive playgrounds
  at Pendleton and Victor Parks; and
         WHEREAS, Funded through a partnership between the City of
  Harlingen and the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School
  District, the new recreational areas are among the first of their
  kind in the Rio Grande Valley; their play equipment includes mazes,
  platforms, slides, and swings, all designed to be accessible to
  individuals with disabilities and other special needs; and
         WHEREAS, With the opening of these two new playgrounds, the
  City of Harlingen and Harlingen CISD have demonstrated their
  steadfast commitment to promoting equality and to making their town
  an even better place in which to live; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the City of
  Harlingen and Harlingen CISD for funding the all-inclusive
  playgrounds at Pendleton and Victor Parks and extend to all those
  associated with these notable endeavors sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
  for the City of Harlingen and Harlingen CISD as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
