R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the profound sorrow
  felt at the loss of Isaiah Gonzalez of San Antonio, who passed away
  on July 8, 2017, at the age of 15; and
         WHEREAS, Born on April 12, 2002, at Camp Pendleton,
  California, Isaiah was the cherished son of Jorge Gonzalez and
  Angela Cantu Gonzalez, and he enjoyed the companionship of two
  sisters, Scarlett and Alexis, and a brother, Jovan; he moved with
  his family to San Antonio after his father retired from the United
  States Marine Corps, and he was preparing to begin his sophomore
  year at Southside High School, where he had recently joined the Air
  Force ROTC; and
         WHEREAS, A kind and cheerful young man, Isaiah always brought
  smiles to the faces of everyone around him; he was treasured not
  only by his immediate family and his extended family of
  grandparents and cousins, but also by numerous classmates and
  friends whose lives he touched in countless ways; and
         WHEREAS, Although the tragic passing of Isaiah Gonzalez
  brings immeasurable heartache, all those who had the good fortune
  to know this remarkable young man will forever keep his memory alive
  in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Isaiah Gonzalez and extend deepest condolences to the members of
  his family: to his parents, Jorge Gonzalez and Angela Cantu
  Gonzalez; to his siblings, Scarlett Cantu Gonzalez, Alexis
  Gonzalez, and Jovan Gonzalez; to his grandparents, Juan M. and
  Paulina Cantu and Maria Gonzalez; to his niece, Audrie
  Castro-Martinez; and to his other relatives and friends and to all
  who join them in mourning his passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Isaiah
  Gonzalez.
