R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Misty Lynn Evans of Beaumont
  on July 16, 2017, at the age of 36, has brought a profound loss to
  the family and friends of this beloved woman; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Valencia, California, the former Misty
  Millar was born on May 24, 1981, to Chuck and Deborah Millar; when
  she was 18 years old, she moved to Florida, where she met her future
  husband, Joe Evans; beginning her married life with him, Ms. Evans
  wholeheartedly welcomed his daughter, Alonha, as her own, and their
  family continued to grow with the birth of two more daughters,
  Jordynn and Denver; the couple relocated to Valencia for a time but
  soon decided to make their home in the Lone Star State, moving to
  Beaumont in the spring of 2006; and
         WHEREAS, This loving wife and mother was also cherished by a
  wide circle of extended family and friends; possessed of a great
  wit, she was known to inspire fits of laughter at every gathering
  with her hilarious stories; her ability to find the humor in all
  situations helped her cope with a number of hardships, and she
  inspired those around her by facing every obstacle with strength,
  courage, and unshakeable faith; and
         WHEREAS, Misty Evans lived her life with passion, enthusiasm,
  and joy; although the loss of this vibrant woman leaves a deep
  sadness in the hearts of all who knew her, she will forever be
  remembered with great love and admiration; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Misty Lynn Evans and extend sincere condolences to the members of
  her family: to her husband, Joe Evans; to her daughters, Alonha,
  Jordynn, and Denver Evans; to her father, Charles J. Millar; to her
  mother, Deborah Cottrell; to her brothers, Kevin, Jensen, C. J.,
  and Casey Millar; and to her other relatives and many friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Misty
  Evans.
