R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Billy Eastman Ott of
  Waxahachie on July 26, 2017, at the age of 24, has brought profound
  sorrow to the family and friends of this beloved young man; and
         WHEREAS, Born on May 4, 1993, in Dallas, Billy Ott was the son
  of Timothy Ott and Amanda Jenkins, and he was blessed with the
  companionship and affection of a sister, Katherine, and five
  step-siblings, Kamry, Kallay, Travis, Micayla, and Micah; a member
  of the Waxahachie High School Class of 2011, Mr. Ott was a standout
  player on the Indians golf team, and he won the 2010 district
  championship and captured such awards as Best Short Game and First
  Team All-District; after graduation, he joined the family business,
  B. G. Williams Asphalt, as a foreman and machine operator; and
         WHEREAS, Known for his adventurous and competitive spirit,
  Mr. Ott was passionate about racing motorcycles with the Texas
  Cross Country Racing Association and the Texas Off-Road Nationals,
  and he loved driving his prized truck, "Street Queen"; his
  contagious smile made an impression on everyone he encountered, and
  he was widely admired for his loyalty to his friends; and
         WHEREAS, During his time on this earth, Billy Ott lived life
  to the fullest, and the memory of his boundless warmth and
  enthusiasm will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all those
  who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Billy Eastman Ott and extend sincere condolences to the members of
  his family: to his father, Tim Ott; to his mother and stepfather,
  Amanda and Greg Jenkins; to his sister, Katherine Johnson, and her
  husband, Justin; to his stepsisters, Kamry Nordyke and her husband,
  Jason, Kallay Fagan and her husband, Tal, and Micayla Jenkins; to
  his stepbrother, Travis Jenkins; to his nephew, Landon, and his
  niece, Lexi; to his grandparents, B. G. and Delia Williams and
  David and Dianne Ott; and to his other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Billy Ott.
