R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Bob and Bobbie McGinnis |
|
|
of Waxahachie celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |
|
|
July 13, 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McGinnis were joined in matrimony in |
|
|
1947 at San Saba's First Baptist Church; over the years, they became |
|
|
the parents of three treasured children, Rick, Bill, and Suzanne, |
|
|
and today their family includes their daughter-in-law, Patty, as |
|
|
well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and |
|
|
Mrs. McGinnis lived in four states over the course of his career |
|
|
with Sears, and Mrs. McGinnis has devoted herself to her home and |
|
|
family throughout their marriage; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This devoted couple have enjoyed seven decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Bob and Bobbie |
|
|
McGinnis on their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
