R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, School boards play a crucial role in meeting the |
|
|
diverse educational needs of the children in their districts, and |
|
|
Terry Knight is indeed deserving of recognition for his service as |
|
|
secretary of the Krum Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The mission of public schools throughout the state |
|
|
and nation is to empower children to become productive contributors |
|
|
to society in an ever-changing world; to that end, Mr. Knight works |
|
|
closely with other school board members, as well as with parents, |
|
|
teachers, and community leaders, to set policies that promote a |
|
|
learning environment in which all students have a chance to thrive; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable Texan has demonstrated a truly |
|
|
exemplary commitment to area students and brings a set of skills and |
|
|
a range of experience that contribute immeasurably to the |
|
|
successful operation of Krum ISD; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Terry Knight for |
|
|
his service as a member of the Krum Independent School District |
|
|
Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere appreciation for his |
|
|
outstanding service to the community; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Knight as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
