R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Gary Parker has retired from the JBS beef processing |
|
plant in Cactus, drawing to a close a notable tenure with the |
|
company that has spanned 41 years; and |
|
WHEREAS, After moving to Dumas in 1973, Mr. Parker worked |
|
pouring concrete, and one of his first jobs was helping to build the |
|
JBS Cactus facility; and |
|
WHEREAS, A few years later, Mr. Parker applied for a job at |
|
the plant, and he first hired on as a forklift driver in the |
|
shipping department; over the course of his exemplary tenure with |
|
JBS, he spent much of his time working in the cattle pens, and he |
|
also distinguished himself in a variety of other positions; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Parker earned the respect and admiration of his |
|
supervisors and coworkers with his strong work ethic, rarely |
|
missing a day during his many decades of employment; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Parker enjoys the love and |
|
support of his wife, Tish, as well as that of his 11 children and 30 |
|
grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Gary Parker's dedication, skill, and commitment to |
|
excellence have greatly benefited the operations of the JBS Cactus |
|
facility, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well |
|
spent as he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Gary Parker on |
|
his retirement from the JBS beef processing plant in Cactus and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Parker as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
