SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 56

WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced by a great and enduring love, Don and Ann Eudy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 1, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Don Eudy and the former Ann Giddens met and began dating while students at Clarksville High School, and they went on to exchange the vows of matrimony at a ceremony in Clarksville in 1967; over the years, their family has grown to include three sons, Chad, Brad and his wife, Beverly, and Tad and his wife, Courtney, as well as three grandchildren, Stoney, Justin, and Avery; and

WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. Eudy are also valued congregants of the First Baptist Church in Clarksville; now retired, Mr. Eudy worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for four decades and ended his career as the maintenance foreman of Red River County, and Mrs. Eudy was a sales representative for Magnolia Brush Manufacturers; and

WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past half century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Don and Ann Eudy on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
