No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code relating to an opportunity to correct a defect in an early voting ballot voted by mail and to the use of an application for an early voting ballot to change a voter's registration address within the county.

The Secretary of State assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

The bill would take effect on December 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

According to Harris, Navarro, and Young counties no fiscal impact is anticipated.
