No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code to specify that individuals who have a high school equivalency certificate are eligible for admission into the abbreviated educator preparation program for trade and industrial workforce training. The bill would expand the eligibility requirement for admission related to seven years of full-time wage-earning experience to include military experience. The bill would take effect immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins, or on December 1, 2017.
