The bill would establish a committee to study and make recommendations regarding an average pay increase for classroom teachers, the creation of certain teacher designations, teacher retention, and a teacher quality allotment under the Foundation School Program. The bill would abolish the committee on January 1, 2019.
This analysis assumes any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.
