No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill adds to the board of trustees annual report information on the length of service of the district's teachers; teacher transfers between campuses; teachers employed in a capacity other than as a teacher; teachers leaving the district for employment in another school district; and teachers leaving employment in public education.

The bill would take effect December 1, 2017 and would apply beginning with school year 2017-18.

Local Government Impact

Districts that do not currently collect this information may incur costs relating to staff training and software development to meet the data collection and reporting requirements.
