No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would prohibit a charter from excluding a student from admission based on a documented history of a criminal offense, a juvenile court adjudication, or discipline problems.
Local Government Impact
Charter schools may experience some increased costs relating to training teachers to appropriately manage students with behavior problems.
