No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend various sections of the Education, Government, and Local Government Codes relating to payroll deductions for state and local employee organizations.
The bill would take effect December 1, 2017.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Municipal League, the fiscal impact cannot be determined but is not expected to result in a significant fiscal impact to local government.
