Amend CSHB 122 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Subchapter Z, Chapter 130, Local Government Code, is amended by adding Section 130.911 to read as follows:
Sec. 130.911. COSTS PAID BY STATE FOR CERTAIN COUNTIES. The comptroller, out of money available for that purpose, shall issue warrants to each county with a population of less than 300,000 to pay any increase in costs to the county created by raising the age of criminal responsibility in this state from 17 to 18 years of age.
