Amend HB 223 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1) On page 1, line 7, strike "Subsection (c-3)" and substitute "Subsections (c-3) and (c-4)".

(2) On page 1, between lines 15 and 16, insert the following:

(c-4) Not later than January 1, 2018, the commissioner shall adopt rules requiring the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) to include pregnancy as a reason a student withdraws from or otherwise no longer attends public school.
