Amend CSHB 1774 (house committee printing) on page 6, between lines 4 and 5, by inserting the following appropriately numbered section and renumbering sections and cross-references appropriately:
Sec. 542A.____. INSURED'S RIGHT TO POLICY INFORMATION. (a) After a claimant has provided notice under Sec. 542A.003, on the claimant's request, the insurer must provide in writing:
(1) a complete copy of the claimant's policy including all amendments and endorsements;
(2) the complete claim file as maintained by the insurer and its agent for any claim made on the property that is the subject of the present claim in the preceding five years; and
(3) the complete underwriting file for the policy.
