Amend HB 2575 (house committee report) as follows:

(1)  On page 3, line 8, between "enters" and "the", insert "or goes within 25 feet of".

(2)  On page 3, lines 11-12, strike "on the premises of the school".

(3)  On page 4, line 5, between "ONTO" and "SCHOOL", insert "OR PRESENCE NEAR".

(4)  On page 4, strike lines 6-7 and substitute the following:

(a)  In this article:

(1)  "Premises" means a building or portion of a building and the grounds on which the building is located, including any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, parking lot, or parking garage on the grounds.

(2)  "School" has the meaning assigned by Section 481.134, Health and Safety Code.

(5)  On page 4, line 9, between "state" and "during", insert "or goes within 25 feet of the premises of a school in this state".
