A new Section 6 is added to page 10, between lines 14 and 15 of HB 4180 as follows and the sections following shall be renumbered:
SECTION 6. Sec. 271.909 is added to the Local Government Code as follows:
PURCHASES: DEVICES THAT UTILIZE ELECTRONIC CAPTURE. As it relates to purchases by local governmental entities and notwithstanding any provision under Texas law, devices that utilize electronic capture to produce a physical record shall be considered interchangeable with devices that utilize electronic capture to produce an electronic record.
