Amend CSSB 4 (house committee printing) as follows:
(1) On page 9, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) A law enforcement agency is not required to perform a duty imposed by Subsection (a) with respect to a person who immigrated to the United States when the person was younger than 18 years of age.
(2) On page 12, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) It is an exception to the application of this section that the person who was subject to an immigration detainer request described by Subsection (a)(1) immigrated to the United States when the person was younger than 18 years of age.
