Amend SB 21 (senate committee report) in SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Subchapter B, Chapter 393, Government Code, by adding a new appropriately numbered section after added Section 393.055 (page 3, between lines 11 and 12) to read as follows:
Sec. 393.____. PROHIBITION ON ACCEPTANCE OF BENEFIT. A delegate or alternate delegate may not accept a gift, a loan, food or beverages, entertainment, lodging, transportation, or another benefit from a person, including a corporation, nonprofit organization, or individual, if that person is required to register as a lobbyist under Chapter 305 or under other law.
