Amend SB 764 (senate committee printing) in SECTION 1 of the bill, by striking added Section 403.0112, Government Code (page 1, lines 31-44), and substituting the following:
Sec. 403.0112. ACCOUNTING FOR COSTS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. (a) Not later than the 30th day before the first day of each regular legislative session, the comptroller shall publish a report containing a comprehensive financial analysis of the impact of undocumented immigrants on the state budget and economy during the preceding two-year period.
(b) In developing the report, the comptroller must apply the methodology used for the comptroller's special report, "Undocumented Immigrants in Texas: A Financial Analysis of the Impact to the State Budget and Economy," published in December 2006.
