Amend SB 873 by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  The changes in law made by this Act apply only to a lease entered into on or after September 1, 2017. A lease entered into before September 1, 2017, is governed by the law in effect when the lease was entered into, and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose.
