Amend SJR 2 (senate committee report) as follows:

(1)  On page 1, line 47, between "to call a" and "convention", insert "public".

(2)  On page 1, between lines 52 and 53, insert the following:

RESOLVED, That the 85th Texas Legislature hereby declares that this application to Congress is conditioned on the requirement that Congress, in calling the convention, specify that it be held in public, with all official deliberations, debates, and voting conducted in public, and that this application is automatically revoked if the convention is not called in the manner required by this application; and, be it further

(3)  On page 1, line 58, between "a" and "convention" insert "public".

(4)  On page 2, line 8, between "Congress for a" and "convention", insert "public".

(5)  On page 2, line 17, immediately after "Congress for a", insert "public".
