BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
Interested parties note that the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has a unique connection with Texas and contend that the center should be designated as the state botanical garden and arboretum to acknowledge the center's contributions to Texas history. C.S.H.B. 394 provides for such designation.

ANALYSIS
C.S.H.B. 394 amends the Government Code to designate the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas at Austin as the state botanical garden and arboretum.
