ANALYSIS
C.S.H.B. 635 amends the Government Code to require the State Preservation Board, by rule and in consultation with the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) and other appropriate state agencies, to establish a process for a vendor to apply for and obtain from the board a permit that allows the vendor to sell goods from a rented space during an event authorized by the board and held in the Texas mall area of the Capitol Complex. The bill expressly does not require the board to adopt such rules until the Capitol Complex master plan required to be developed by the TFC is implemented and the Texas mall proposed in the plan is established.
