ANALYSIS
H.B. 1062 amends the Education Code to authorize the governing board of the Trinity Valley Community College District by resolution or order to increase the number of board members to 11. The bill requires such a resolution or order to establish transition terms of office to conform to elections held in even-numbered years and staggered six-year terms and to require the initial board members to draw lots to determine the members' terms, as specified by the bill.
